Why would anyone need more than a quarter of an hour to get something off his chest? This is punk supergroup OFF!'s modus operandi on their first full-length -- that length being a brisk 16 minutes. Forget slow burn, this is all speedbag work: 16 exercises of raw sprints and fast-twitch conditioning. Dimitri Coats' raw riffs scrape up against Steven Shane McDonald and Mario Rubalcaba's brutish bass and beats. Meanwhile, Keith Morris howls with the youthful disenchantment of a man half his age: "Are you kidding, we were playing too fast?/ Have you been smoking pot or is your head up your ass?"
