This punk supergroup's third album runs down 16 post-proto-hardcore rants in 23 minutes. While it might be their most palatable release yet, Keith Morris and co. are blessedly against significant evolution. The tracks have nicely soured riffs and flatly melodic tantrums in their burst-of-dissonance way. There are even strides toward "Re-Ignition"-esque metal on the chugging "No Easy Escape" and the relatively epic "Hypnotized," which is at least 40 seconds longer than anything else here at 2:15. But unlike most punk lifers, their purity is refreshing. Might even make a few converts.
