This is the Ojos de Brujo album we've been waiting for. Live, the band opens up, making the instruments breathe even when the pace is frenetic, and finding enticing grooves in every direction. Vocalist Marina Abad sounds better than she's ever sounded, and she expertly helms the band's supple and fiery charge through a mammoth set that includes most of 2007's Techari, as well as many bonus tracks. While there are too many highlights to mention, one clear contender is Faada Freddy's (of Daara J) star turn on a remarkable cover of Bob Marley's "Get Up, Stand Up."
