Energy defined a genre and a generation with an innovative sound and a universal message. Marrying furious, late-'80s punk with catchy third wave ska, this lo-fi firecracker featured bristling guitars, sing-along choruses and intelligent lyrics about self and social politics, influencing everyone from Green Day to No Doubt.
