Antonio Carlos Jobim and Wes Montgomery were having considerable crossover success with the help of arranger Claus Orgerman, so you can't blame Oscar Peterson for wanting to record with him too. The jazz pianist tackles 1960s hits (the usual suspects: the Beatles, Bacharach and Mancini) as Ogerman's lush easy listening charts flows around him. Peterson plays his heart out on every track, though Jobim's "Wave" is a particular standout.
