Since the Human League's Dare in 1982, female punk chic has been mixed with male electro geek to varying degrees of success. Out Hud are experts, and here brew up a heady cocktail of beats, choruses and telephone rings. The Roland synths are a nod to their musical forebears; the spectacularly titled track 9 (an instrumental) brings matters right up to date.
