Ozark Mountain Daredevils
Ozark Mountain Daredevils
Released:
Jan 1973
Label:
A&M
Known only for the lite rock of ÃÂJackie Blue,ÃÂ Ozark Mountain Daredevils were far more of a true country rock band than that song suggests. Released in 1974, at the height of the LA cowboy era, Ozark has none of the polish, or even rock moves, of the Eagles or any of their contemporaries. Sure ÃÂSpaceship OnionÃÂ sounds like a Bread song, but ÃÂIf You Wanna Get To HeavenÃÂ has one of the all-time great choogles (read ÃÂgrooveÃÂ), and ÃÂChicken TrainÃÂ rides a JewÃÂs harp riff for crying out loud. They also sing about rivers.
