Released: Jun 2010
The tenth album from the godfather of metal, Scream features guitar work from Greek hotshot Gus G. (Zakk Wylde is gone), a combination of Sabbath-worthy slither and high-flying balladry that Ozzy's better records (Diary Of A Madman, Blizzard Of Ozz) boast, and decidedly respectable vocals from Ozzy himself. In spite of some vocoder overlays (opener "Let It Die" and the gut-punching "Soul Sucker"), Ozzy actually sounds muscular, and "Let Me Hear You Scream" is one of his best fist-raising, yell-along anthems in years.
