A live album dedicated to Randy Rhoads, Tribute is an excellent testament to the guitarist's prodigious talents, which ranged from stupefyingly fluid ribboning and mind-bending metal guitar antics to startling gentleness, evidenced by the acoustic instrumental "Dee," which he wrote for his mother. Thanks to enormous volumes, a perfectly recorded crunch and Rhoads' jaw-dropping performances, the versions here of "Crazy Train," "Flying High Again" and "Revelation (Mother Earth)" are damn near definitive. The version of "Suicide Solution" really is definitive.
