The L.A. trio has tossed the Pete Rock-lite beats and DIY triumphs of last year's The Div, and embraced minimalist, "ratchet"-style rhythms and boasts about hoes, weed and cash. They don't have distinct personalities -- it's difficult to tell their voices apart -- and no one, not even guests Kurupt, Kendrick Lamar or Blu, turn in a memorable rap performance. But "The Return," "Cross Trainers" and "Debo" bang as hard as anything found in the West Coast zeitgeist.
