A strong entry into the bad-breakup-album hall of fame, Metamorphosis seethes with the rage of dudes who are very P.O.'d about several things. There's the relationship that never went anywhere ("I Almost Told You That I Loved You"), the relationship that went into the toilet ("Live This Down") and the offensive nature of some celebrities' egocentric public antics ("Hollywood Whore"). Jacoby Shaddix dispenses with the rapping of yore in favor of a fight-ready shout and bitter defiance. Not all is bile, however; "March Out of the Darkness" extends an olive branch to the world.
