Patenbrigade: Wolff

Patenbrigade: Wolff is the brainchild of German techno musicians Sven Wolff and Lance Murdock. The duo's fascination with heavy machinery, construction sites and tower crane conductors is an inspiration for their electronic soundscapes and industrial drum rhythms. They even dedicate their music to all the tower crane operators of the world, a profession they admire from their years working as construction workers in Berlin. Patenbrigade: Wolff mix ambient electronica and hard-edged sounds influenced by techno wizards like Kraftwerk, Future Sound of London, Depeche Mode and Tangerine Dream. Their use of industrial percussion can be traced to the music of '80s club icons like Front 242, but their sound can also veer into dub and deep house territory on songs like "“Flutlicht”" and “"Entladung”" off 12.1.21.20.
