After Paul Westerberg learned about the animated film "Open Season," he dashed off the tune "Right to Arm Bears." The producers were so impressed that they signed the ex-'Mat leader to write all the songs for the film. It's a little strange that Westerberg is so adept at writing happy pop songs about wild critters, but tunes like "Meet Me in the Meadow" and "Love You in the Fall" are some of the better solo tracks he's written.
