Brawny Chicago Punk, the likes of which haven't been heard since Naked Raygun took the Windy City by its throat. Raygun's John Haggerty is a founding member of Pegboy. His buzzing, crunching guitar swells into tight circles, bringing mammoth melodies crashing back in on themselves and creating a rousing sound able to sweep even the most jaded listener out of their chair. Anthemic, sing-along vocals are pure Chicago -- gritty, callous, pot-holed and as biting as winter winds blowing off Lake Michigan. Naked Raygun helped build the bridge of melodic Hardcore: while they possess undeniable bite, their songs are smart and contain far more than three chords and a 4/4 drumbeat. All in all, Pegboy sound tough as hell and make you want to pump your fist in the air while singing along.
