Peter Himmelman

Himmelman is primarily a Singer-Songwriter who takes his show on the road as often as possible. He started his career in an anonymous fashion in the early 1980s as the front person for Sussman Lawrence and quickly defined the "do-it-yourself" work ethic. Since the height of his popularity in 1986 with a stint of heavy rotation on MTV, Himmelman has continued to record as a contemporary Folk artist rather than an aging rocker. His songs rely on orchestrated arrangements that often use piano and acoustic guitar. His voice is warm, sometimes sounding like a fatherly figure and a weary traveler all within the same song.
