Not your typical offering from Keaggy, Dream Again adopts a rich, velvety layer of pop savvy, coated with Keaggy vocals â the first vocal outing in six years. The rarity of vocal appearances is due to the artist's own aversion to his voice being a part of the usual musical package -- unfortunate, as his voice is as multi-layered as his playing, folding Bob Dylan folk over mellow Paul McCartney pop. The first four opening tracks are the album's strongest, while the middle chunk veers violently toward cliche. But anchoring the center is his forte: a pure, intricate, heavy-fingered guitar instrumental.
