Released: Mar 1983

Spin Agape-Agape and you'll totally hear why Popol Vuh's influence stretches across progressive rock, psychedelia, goth, electronica and new age. Augmented by a Gregorian chant-like choir, Florian Fricke and company are in full-on sacred music mode. The eight heady tracks sound like religious jams for a congregation of cosmic pilgrims. This 2004 reissue offers but a single bonus track, titled "Circledance." It's a cool little Krautrock groove, though it lacks the other tracks' solemn vibe.
