Here we have a five-disc box set, with each disc devoted entirely to the Herzog film for which the music served as a soundtrack. Aguirre is beautiful and foreboding, Heart of Glass is joyous, Nosferatu is haunting and weird (check "Die Nacht der Himmel"), Fitzcarraldo is unhinged, and the country-tinged African chanting on Cobra Verde is doomed to die alone on a beach struggling against futility.
