Crook By Da Book: The Fed Story (Explicit, Edited)
Project Pat

Hypnotize Minds/Sony Urban Music/Columbia
Project Pat returns after a three-year prison bid with more classic Memphis hip-hop. Pat's needs are simple: drugs (specifically "Purple" and "Cocaine"), sex ("Good Googly Moogly") and freedom ("I Ain't Going Back to Jail"). His stark, monotone delivery matches both the tracks simple beauty/brutality and the production's churning gutter crunk. The booty-goofy 808 workout "Good Googly Moogly" is very catchy, while "Tell, Tell, Tell (Stop Snitching)" features Young Jeezy and addresses the most important issue in hip-hop this millennium: the proliferation of police informants.
