Pullman

About Pullman

With a line-up of Chicago indie rockers, this all-acoustic side project is comprised of Bundy K. Brown (Tortoise, Directions in Music, Loftus), Doug McCombs (Eleventh Dream Day, Tortoise, Brokeback), Chris Brokaw (Come, the New Year), and Curtis Harvey (Rex, Loftus). Their first LP, Turnstyles and Junkpiles, is entirely comprised of acoustic guitars, whereas their Viewfinder (2001) tastefully features Tim Barnes on drums. Boardering on Bluegrass, their lullaby harmonies gradually build on hypnotic melodies, bouncing between major and minor qualities creating an "I'm so happy, I think I'm going to cry" feel.
