Rachid Taha is a French/Algerian worldbeat artist and former DJ who has become a superstar in Arab nations and beyond with his take on the popular rai music styles. His latest ventures have involved a multicultural approach to dance music that liberally dips from traditional and progressive. You'll find everything from electric guitars to zithers to samplers in his music. He's also spent time recording with famed producer and ex-Gong guitarist Steve Hillage.
