BiographyLegendary House producer/remixer Ralphi Rosario helped bring the style to the mainstream with the aid of other members of Chicago's WBMX Hot Mix 5 team. Best known as the force behind the seminal club classic "You Used to Hold Me," Rosario appeared frequently on the charts in the late '80s and '90s with such numbers as "I Want You" and "Pieces." Throbbing beats and pulsating effects cradle strict diva vocals and dense piano riffs. Swaddled in a subtle pop quality that avoids alienating crowds at the club, Rosario's funky grooves helped set the House standard.
