Ray Cash may be from Cleveland, but his debut is all over the map. From the more trad boom bap of "The Payback" to the minor chord, Midwestern hip-hop of "Trying to Get Paid," C.O.D. is stylistically diverse. Lyrically, Ray Cash is constantly referencing other hip-hop and R&B acts: On the stellar "Bumping My Music," he pays homage to Biggie and Juvenile, while "Sex Appeal" finds the Cleveland emcee imagining a sex stable populated by Missy, Trina and almost every other pop star blessed with a vagina. It's a formula that worked slightly better on the Game's Documentary.
