Red Red Meat's previous disc, Bunny Gets Paid, featured an incredibly organic fusion of roots music and dubbed-out electronics. This follow-up, in contrast, sees the group fully submitting its heartland boogie to spare neo-industrial grooves, warbling tape loops and one fat bass-synth. But while several tracks, including the 17-minute closer "Just Like an Egg On Stilts," blur the lines between folk-blues and ambient music, Red Red Meat always sound like true American rockers.
