For their sixth studio disc, Relient K turn up the volume on their pop-punk sound. Reteaming with longtime producer Mark Lee Townsend, the band have made Forget and Not Slow Down a break-up album for the new millennium. To pen the tracks, frontman Matt Thiessen holed up lakeside for several months in remote Winchester, Tennessee. The result is a thoughtful collection that is hopeful despite all the heartache. All that nature must have inspired him, because the sound is more natural too, opting for old-school realism rather than polished perfection.
