Everything on Ricardo Arjona's 13th studio album is bathed in a warm, rich light, from the upbeat café pop of the opening track to the country-tinged '70s rock of "A La Medida." And that deep, heartfelt voice of his is the slow-burning flame that heats it all with an earnestness that lets him pull off all kinds of things: the sweeping, heart-melting "Mi Novia ..."; the Hammond-organ-backed blues rock promise of "Te Juro"; even the odd circus whimsy of "Reconciliación." "Fuiste Tú," a great hug of a duet with Gaby Moreno, is a highlight.
