Biography

Richard Rodgers revolutionized Broadway musicals with his collaborations with Oscar Hammerstein. Such shows as Oklahoma define American theater. But he wrote his greatest songs with his first partner, Lorenz Hart. Such sophisticated tunes as "My Funny Valentine" and "It Never Entered My Mind" remain favorites of jazz musicians and vocalists.
