In case you can't quite place Rick Springfield, give the opener to Venus about 30 seconds: The churning guitar that ignites into a strident chorus has a helluva lot more than a passing resemblance to his signature hit, "Jessie's Girl." Most of the tracks that follow are decidedly more modern, though, channeling the Foo Fighters in the huge production of "I'll Miss That Someday" or "3 Warning Shots." It's an ambitious, if uneven, shot at returning to the FM dial, even if the result is more likely to rekindle nostalgia for his years on the AM one.
