Rod Stewart was right on the precipice of his ill-fated disco era when A Night on the Town first appeared in 1976. That means "The First Cut Is the Deepest" is almost a Faces song (check Steve Cropper's guitar solo), but you can almost hear the leopard print and teased hair of "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" in the wings with the mega-selling wimpiness of "Tonight's the Night." This deluxe re-release of A Night on the Town features 13 additional tracks of early versions and outtakes that diehards will no doubt scramble to get.
