Biography

Rodney Hayden landed in the big leagues while still in his teens. A Texas native, his old school, honky-tonk-inspired songs were treated to all the modern production nuances of today’s digital technology, while somehow maintaining the authentic tones of a true and timeless twang. Now living in Pleasanton, Calif., Hayden grew up listening to his father's country music record collection, and gravitated toward such roadhouse crooners as George Jones and Merle Haggard. But it was Robert Earl Keen who discovered Hayden when the singer's demo landing on his desk, in within a matter of weeks the young crooner was signed to Keen's own Rosetta Records.
