Having fully ascended to his throne with a smash solo debut and a string of chart-topping singles, the king of urban Latin steps back to explore his kingdom a bit on Vol. 2. His impressive rule thus far has attracted some famous acolytes (from Nicki Minaj to ... Kevin Hart?). It's also expanded to include salsa (the warm "Yo Tambien"), dub ("Fui a Jamaica"), loads of hip-hop and R&B and some darker, more intricately guitar-driven bachata (the intense "Inocente"). But Santos' pleading, feathery tenor reigns supreme over all of it, swaying and swinging in and out of slow jams and swaggers.
