Forty years after his full-length debut, crooning country deity Ronnie Milsap can still masterfully balance restraint and lack of restraint. Country Again (he dabbled in gospel, briefly) has a few bizarre touches -- the title track is a goofy time-travel fantasy, and wedding staple "If You Don't Want Me To (The Freeze)" gets both a callback and a new "dance mix" -- but primarily focuses on simple, graceful, romantic lopes and waltzes into which Milsap occasionally tears with aplomb: "I'm talking about LOOOOOOOOOVE in the middle of the AFTERRRRNOON." May he have this dance?
