Want to be dazzled by instrumental prowess while simultaneously being transported to a solar realm inhabited by dreamy, mercurial guitars and a death-defying rhythm section? Then Rumah Sakit's awesome instrumental antics will provide you the necessary passport. This is pretty heavy and heady stuff, owing much to Krautrock, King Crimson at their most experimental, and Post-Rock luminaries such as Slint. Major shifts in dynamics are not uncommon, but the band handles them deftly and with a real artistic sensibility; this is not the soft/loud formula of Post-Grunge that you're going to hear. The musicianship is absolutely stellar. Aspiring musicians, beware -- these guys will make you wish you spent an extra four hours a day in your garage during your formative years.
