RZA reprises his role as the groupie-smashing, blunt-puffing superhero Bobby Digital. It's part Melvin Van Peebles, part Marvel Comics and all Wu-Tang. The better songs here -- "Booby Trap," "You Can't Stop Me Now" -- are hushed, random reclamations of the Abbot's golden years, which is more or less the formula for the criminally overlooked 8 Diagrams. Still, unlike previous Bobby D. releases, Digi Snax doesn't bother masking its esotericism in hip-hop propulsion, and we're left with a strange, at times sprawling mess.
