The chief exemplars of witch-house, Illinois' shadow-dwelling Salem step from blog buzz into the limelight with their debut album. "Drag," their own term for their music, speaks to the sluggish tempos they've borrowed from chopped 'n' screwed Southern hip-hop, which also inspired their narcotic, pitched-down raps.
