BiographySam Adams Wisner shocked the music world when his Boston's Boy EP topped the iTunes rap chart in early 2010. Many alleged that Adams' label, 1st Round Records, had rigged the chart. But he dispelled considerable skepticism by explaining that he toured the college party circuit for years, and Boston's Boy 's surprise success was merely a reward for hard work. Beforehand, Adams studied political science at Trinity College in Connecticut while nurturing a rap career, earning his degree in the spring of 2010. He initially called himself Wiz and got his first online notices for the Asher Roth parody "I Hate College." In 2009, as Sam Adams, he released tracks like "Tab Open" and "Driving Me Crazy" before Boston's Boy put the industry on notice.
