Vaughan works Julie London's midnight mood "just a girl, a guitar and a bass" terrain on this ballad set from 1961. Guitarist Mundell Lowe plays beautifully, but this is Vaughan's show-- she's relaxed and loose, yet completely involved with the narrative of each tune. Highlights include "My Favorite Things," "In a Sentimental Mood," and the Sammy Cahn rarity "Wonder Why."
