Now-defunct Indie Rock outfit Sarge worked in a similar fashion to Philadelphia's Sonny Sixkiller. Revved-up arrangements of blistering, unrelenting guitar hooks combine with guitarist/vocalist Elizabeth Elmore's endearing, powerful alto in their noisy, melodic songs.
