THE END
Featuring Darkthrone's Nocturno Culto on rhythm guitars and some of Satyr's finest rasping, Nemesis Divina boasts a previously unheard-of muscularity in both the song structures and its unmuddied sound. While the white noise that identifies most black metal is present on "Forhekset," most of the songs are simply enormous, bored out even more by mead-hall choruses and cathedral-worthy keyboards. Of particular interest is their big hit, the black metal tour-de-force "Mother North," and anytime Satyr screams.
