Let this be your warning: Schoolyard Heroes is one scary band. We're not talking about all the ominous, churning guitars skulking around, waiting to jump out and scare the crap out of an unsuspecting listener with a sudden, wailing solo (check out "Plastic Surgery Hall of Fame"). And, yes, there's enough dark, gothic camp in this monster to fill a Heathers remake, but that's not it either. No, the most deliciously frightening part of this punk-metal extravaganza (yes, extravaganza) is vocalist Ryann Donnelly's squealing, glass-shattering, fat-lady-trouncing Valkyrie shriek.
