Scott Nygaard

Nygaard is a highly regarded acoustic guitarist from the San Francisco area who has recorded extensively as a sideman and leader. Although his playing is rooted in Bluegrass and he can play blazingly fast, he is sought after for his inventive melodicism. He's recorded with virtually every player of note in the Progressive Bluegrass world, and he was nominated for a Grammy Award for his contribution to a Bill Monroe tribute record.
