This collection matches up the Walker Brothers' wonderfully melodramatic pop hits with Scott Walker's increasingly daring solo material. Though the Walker Brothers were hugely successful in mid-1960s U.K., "Make It Easy on Yourself," "My Ship Is Comin' In" and the peerless "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" also hit the U.S. charts. Walker's challenging but vastly rewarding solo material takes over with track 10 and includes career-defining songs about dashed dreams and urban isolation.
