Seether frontman Shaun Morgan's growling hard-rock yawp could be mistaken for unused scraps from any given Nickleback session, but at least his one-liners -- blanket truisms about people who "gave up their dreams" ("Fake It") and how he's "lost his way" ("Eyes of the Devil") -- make an instantly familiar pairing. Morgan's vocals and his group's compactly compressed guitar rage work best on pop tunes like "6 Gun Quota" and "Waste," which evoke latter day Alice In Chains.
