Serah draws a lot of comparisons to Enya and Anael. That makes a lot of sense, considering she, too, is a mistress of new age pop. But Serah isn't nearly as dreamy-sounding as her contemporaries. Where those other two use their voices as pure sound first and foremost, Serah is a more traditional singer-songwriter, one who pays attention to lyrics more than anything else. She's also more in love with rhythm; A Thousand Candles portrays her penchant for reggae, jazz and African pop.
