Multi-instrumentalist Shawn Lee's collection of instrumental pop covers is like the dangerously sharp dressed cousin of Muzak, played entirely by Lee himself. Bringing together soulful, hard-grooving funk instrumentals of Outkast, Gorillaz, and Missy Elliot, Lee even manages to make the ubiquitous tunes a whimsical reading and, as is the case with his stab at Timberlake, downright fresh. The only misstep might come with Winehouses' "Rehab," where Lee's attempt at out strutting the Dap Kings leaves an aftertaste that's downright funky -- in the bad way.
