The music industry is as weird as it is corrupt. For some reason, Shooter Jennings' Electric Rodeo was released after Put The O Back In Country, even though it was recorded first. And yet it has the piss and vinegar of an outlaw's debut, especially on the ode to the devil's dandruff, "Little White Lines," and on the backwoods bayou strut of "Aligator Chomp" (check the cameo vocal by Tony Joe White). Fans of his father Waylon will want to keep a sixer and box of tissue handy when "It Ain't Easy" comes on, a truly touching tribute.
