Silverstein

Named in honor of admired kids' book author and songwriter Shel Silverstein, this Canadian emo band formed in Ontario in 2000. Since signing to Victory Records in 2002, they have steadily released an album every two years. Juno Award nominees and Vans Warped Tour main-stage vets, Silverstein offer traditionally melodic metal songs with loud guitars, cleanly sung verses and death metal/hardcore screeching at the chorus. Their strength lies in singer Shane Told's voice, as well as guitars that reach breakneck speeds and effectively blur the line between metal and hardcore.
