Released: Jan 1984
With the Cure's Robert Smith's replacing ex-Magazine John McGeoch on guitar, the band becomes more mainstream without losing any key elements. The cover of "Dear Prudence" was a major hit throughout Europe and helped make this 1984 release the band's first charting U.S. album. "Swimming Horses" is another lovely gothic (in the classic sense of the word) stunner.
