Label: Anchor Brain
Though this is Six Finger Satellite's first album of new material in nearly 10 years, not a whole lot has changed for one of the most influential bands of the '90s. A Good Year for Hardness, like every other 6FS album, is all about scum-caked noise-rock filtered through industrial music's cold, Teutonic pulse. This time around, however, the band sounds more human and less insectoid, as if they're grizzled bar-rock vets searching for the common ground between Devo and Crazy Horse.
