Biography
Signed at the oh-so-tender age of fourteen, Skye Sweetnam released her debut album a year later to great fanfare in her native Canada. With a spunky, rebellious attitude and slicing guitars, Sweetnam's songs are topically typical for a girl her age: school, friends, boys and cliques all come under her thoughtful scrutiny. Her first single, "Billy S," did so well in Canada that she scored a deal in America. Her debut album, Noise From the Basement, was released in 2004.
